Web 2.0
The internet has only gotten better with age! Web 2.0 is AMAZING! As I find new links and must-haves for you, I will post them here. As always, if you have something that you use that you want to share because it is amazing…feel free comment and leave us the link!
Gmail has superior spam filtering without having to set up a bunch of filters. It has integration with Google Talk and now AIM so you can chat with your contacts right in Gmail (however, it is blocked by our proxy server here). You get so much storage space it might as well be unlimited, so you really don’t ever have to delete anything. Gmail also has a great search feature. You can tag emails with labels that now have color. Your Gmail login will then allow you to access all the other FREE cool stuff that Google has to offer. I LOVE Gmail and I think you will too.
*jangl – *jangl allows for you to call or text anyone for free without knowing the number. All you need is his/her email address, and your phone number stays private. It helps you turn your list of email addresses into a list of local phone numbers. This is a great way of communicating with colleagues and students via your cell phone without having to give up your private cell number. You can also block users.
